Why is Alltel charging me for airtime which I’m not using??

I have an alltel Prepaid Phone, and it charges $.10 every minute for data airtime. I don’t use data airtime that often, but randomly for the past few days, it has been charging me for airtime? I looked at the bill and about every 40 minutes or so, it says I used airtime, but I haven’t?What is it doing this and how do I stop it, because I refilled my phone with $10.00, and its already down to $5.76! Damn you Alltel!

Do you have like an email client or something on your phone, perhaps that is connecting to check for email, or perhaps a messenger software that logs in to see which one of your friends are online? Look at your phone for all those items and see if that’s causing the issue.
